Washington, DC was among the many areas along the eastern coast of the United States to be hit by a major snowstorm. Usually, the Washington area does not have storms of this size until January or February. Come to think of it, Winter hasn't even officially started yet! While the Federal Goverment remained open, many local governments and school systems were closed Thursday and Friday.
