England's cricket team has reached 264 for five on the first day of the fifth and final Ashes test match against Australia in Sydney.
Mark Butcher led the tourists with 124 runs to lead England to the run total before being put out in the 86th over.
Butcher shared a 166-run partnership with skipper Nasser Hussain, who posted 75 from 149 deliveries before being caught out.
Australia has already won the Ashes series after sweeping the first four matches. The Aussies are aiming to match a 5-0 sweep of the series set by Warwick Armstrong's Australian team in 1920-21.
