Liberians Try to Start New Era - 2003-08-12


A day after Charles Taylor is gone as its leader, Liberia is trying to settle down to the start of a new era, and the commander of U.S. forces off the coast has begun helping efforts to get the port at the capital, Monrovia, reopened to start receiving humanitarian aid.
