Japanese officials say their economy did not grow as fast as first thought between July and September.

The government says new, more complete information shows that the world's second-largest economy grew three-tenths of a percent in the third quarter, which is half what was first reported.

The report also says Japan's economy grew at an annual pace of 1.4 percent.
