The National Football League's conference championship games are Sunday with four teams battling for a berth in Super Bowl 38 next month.
In Foxboro, Massachusetts, the New England Patriots host the Indianapolis Colts in the American Conference championship game. The Patriots beat the Tennessee Titans last week, 17-14 in bitter cold in Foxboro. The Colts defeated Kansas City, 38-31, on the road last week.
The last time these two teams met, the Patriots beat Indianapolis, 38-34 thanks in large part to a goal-line stand in the final seconds of the November 30th game.
Meanwhile in the National Conference, the Philadelphia Eagles host the Carolina Panthers. Philadelphia needed a fourth-and-26 miracle play last week to beat the Green Bay Packers, 20-17 in overtime. Carolina beat the Saint Louis Rams in Saint Louis in double overtime last Saturday, 29-23.
The last time these two teams met, the Eagles won 25-16 November 30. The winners this week advance to Super Bowl 38 February first in Houston, Texas.
