Defending champion Lindsay Davenport of the United States has claimed her fourth title at the Toray Asia Pacific Open tennis tournament in Japan.
Davenport easily defeated Bulgaria's Magdalena Maleeva Sunday, winning 6-4, 6-1 in 58 minutes and extending her winning streak at the event to 12 straight matches dating back to 2001.
Davenport, who was seeded second this year, previously won the Toray in 1998, 2001 and 2003. Today's win was the 27-year-old American's 39th career championship.
