Human Rights Watch Says Donors Must Address Darfur Atrocities - 2004-09-27


Donor governments are gathering today in Oslo to discuss the humanitarian needs in Darfur. The New York-based group Human Rights Watch says donors should take steps end serious abuses against civilians taking place in the western region of Sudan.

The group wants donors to pledge support for civilian protection under an expanded Africa Union mission in Darfur. English to Africa reporter William Eagle spoke with Peter Takirambudde of Human Rights Watch in New York.
