Aid Offers Pour in for South Asia

Countries around the world are offering to send help to South Asia following Saturday's massive earthquake.

The European Union says it is ready to provide money and emergency aid. EU Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Louis Michel says the group believes international help may be needed.

British officials say they are assessing the situation and have put search and rescue teams on standby to fly to the affected regions if help is requested. The Turkish Red Crescent also has put its teams on alert.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz says his country has received several offers of help and is reviewing them.
