The family of a young Brazilian man who was shot and killed by British police who mistook him for a terrorist have visited the London Underground station where he was killed.
They arrived in Britain Tuesday to demand justice for their son, Jean Charles de Menezes. He was shot repeatedly in the head on July 22 - one day after four suspects failed to carry out suicide bombings on the Underground and a bus.
Police initially said the 27-year-old electrician was acting suspiciously and ignored orders to stop running. But details later emerged through news reports that disputed those claims.
The family plans to meet with the independent panel investigating the shooting on Thursday.
