An Israeli gunman has opened fire on a group of Palestinians near the West Bank town of Ramallah. Israeli and Palestinian news reports say three people are dead and several others wounded.
Israeli television says the gunman grabbed a weapon from an Israeli security guard posted at the industrial zone next to the Jewish settlement at Shilo. Both the gunman and his victims apparently worked at the facility.
The shooter was reported in Israeli custody.
The attack came nearly two weeks after an ultra-nationalist Jew opposed to Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip shot dead four Israeli Arabs on a bus in northern Israel.
