Janne Ahonen Wins 1st of Four Hills Ski Jumping Competitions

Defending champion Janne Ahonen of Finland has won the first of the Four Hills ski jumping competitions in Oberstdorf, Germany.

Ahonen finished the two-jump competition with totals of 130.5 meters and 130 meters for a total of 270.9 points.

Norway's Roar Ljoekelsoey was second with 268.4 points and Jakub Janda of the Czech Republic was third with 262.6 points.

Janda leads the overall World Cup season standings with 612 points. The second of the Four Hills meets is in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, on Sunday.
