NBA: Maverics Edge Raptors

update

The Dallas Mavericks beat the buzzer to edge the Toronto Raptors 93-91 for their fourth straight road win, and a thrilling end to their National Basketball Association contest Monday.

Jason Terry made a running lay-up as time expired to lift the Mavericks in Toronto. He had 26 points for the night. Dirk Nowitzki netted 29 points, including two three-point shots in the final two minutes, to lead Dallas. With a record of 10 wins against three losses, the Mavs are tied with defending champion San Antonio for first place in their Southwest division.

Miami's Dwayne Wade scored 33 points, and James Posey had five three-pointers to lead the Heat to a 107-94 win over the visiting New York Knicks and snap a two-game skid.

In other NBA games Monday, the Orlando Magic held on to post their fourth win in a row, going 87-83 against the Celtics in Boston. The New Jersey Nets knocked off the Denver Nuggets 101-92, and the Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Hornets 99-83.
