German Train Unions Call Strike

Germany's train drivers union has called for a three-hour strike Monday to put pressure on the state-controlled rail operator Deutsche Bahn in a pay dispute.

The evening strike will mainly affect freight traffic.

The strike comes just days after pilots at low-cost carrier Germanwings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa, staged an hours-long strike over a pension deal, disrupting domestic travel.
