A general view of the Jewish Museum, site of a shooting, is seen in central Brussels, Belgium, May 25, 2014.

Two of the three people killed Saturday by a gunman at a Jewish museum in Belgium were Israelis.

An Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said Sunday the two were a Tel Aviv couple in their 50s who were visiting Brussels as tourists.

Belgian officials say three people were killed in the attack.

One suspect has been detained for questioning about the assault.

Officials say a second person spotted walking from the scene is being sought for questioning in the shooting, which seriously injured a fourth person.

Witnesses say the attacker drove up to the museum, entered and fired shots, then fled the scene.

Anti-Semitism is strongly suspected as the motive behind the attack.
