Secretary of State John Kerry testifies on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, Apr. 17, 2013, before the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the State Department's fiscal 2014 foreign affairs budget.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says nobody lied to anyone about last year's deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Secretary Kerry faced questions from Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee Wednesday on the attack that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others on September 11, 2012.

Kerry told the representatives that it is time to move on from Benghazi to current big and serious national security issues.

He assured the lawmakers that authorities are building a case but says it is very difficult to gather evidence from a part of Libya that is dangerous.

Some Republicans accused the Obama administration of withholding information on the attack and whether it had prior information on possible terrorism in Benghazi.
