A Minnesota company has designed a gun that can be folded up to look like a smartphone.

The gun, which is made by Ideal Conceal, has two barrels and can be folded to look like a mobile phone. When unfolded, it can fire two .380-caliber bullets.

“Smartphones are everywhere, so your new pistol will easily blend in with today’s environment,” said the company on its website. “In its locked position it will be virtually undetectable because it hides in plain sight.”

The stealth of the phone has police officers worried, according to CNN Money.

“In general, the concept of any kind of weapon that’s disguised, so that it’s not apparent that it’s a weapon, would be cause for concern,” according to Bill Johnson, executive director and general counsel for the National Association of Police Organizations in an interview with CNN.

The gun will be available later this year goes for $395, and Ideal Conceal said it has already received 2,500 emails from people interested in buying the gun.

According to CNN, it’s unclear if the gun would require a concealed carry permit, even if it’s in plain sight. Gun laws vary widely among the states.
