American conservative politician Sarah Palin has released a new book that is raising speculation she may run for president in 2012.
Palin's book America by Heart released Tuesday outlines her views on politics and religious faith with chapters including "America the Exceptional" and "I Hear America Praying."
The former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate has become a leading figure in the conservative Tea Party movement.
Palin goes on the attack against President Barack Obama in her book, accusing him of having a "lack of faith in the American people" and saying that health care legislation championed by the president and congressional Democrats was unconstitutional.
She has been an unrelenting critic of President Obama, and has said she is considering challenging him in the 2012 election.
This is Palin's second book. Her first, Going Rogue, published in 2008, was a bestseller. U.S. politicians often release books to introduce themselves to the voting public before an election. Mr. Obama published two books before his successful run for president in 2008.
Palin begins a tour of the country Tuesday to promote her book, starting in the southwestern state of Arizona. She will travel twice during the tour to the Midwestern state of Iowa, which holds the country's earliest contest to select party nominees for president.
