2016 Debate Schedule


The Commission on Presidential Debates has scheduled three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate.

The first presidential debate, between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump, was held September 26.

Tuesday, October 4:

The vice presidential candidates, Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican Mike Pence, meet Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST (0100 UTC) at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. CBS News' Elaine Quijano will moderate.

Sunday, October 9:
The second presidential debate will be a town hall-style meeting at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. It will be moderated by ABC's Martha Raddatz and CNN's Anderson Cooper.

Wednesday, October 19:
The third presidential debate will be similar in format to the first debate and will be held at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Fox News' Chris Wallace will moderate.
