Seven Afghan soldiers were killed after a roadside bomb ripped through their vehicle in the country's southwest.

Officials say the attack took place Sunday as the soldiers were travelling in the Dilaram district of Farah province.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Afghan insurgents have increased their attacks in a campaign to retake territory as foreign forces withdraw and hand over security duties to Afghan forces.

Roadside bomb attacks are among their weapon of choice.
