Police in the western U.S. state of Oregon say two boys and one girl have been shot outside a high school and a manhunt is underway for the shooter or shooters.
Sgt. Pete Simpson said the victims are believed to be students at Rosemary Anderson High School in the city of Portland. He said the three were "conscious and breathing" when they were taken Friday to the hospital.
A nearby high school and community college were placed on lockdown.
Simpson said preliminary information suggests the incident is gang-related.
Rosemary Anderson High School is an alternative school that serves at-risk students who were expelled or dropped out, are homeless or single parents. The school's website says 190 students are enrolled there annually.
