Nineteen radio station managers from Voice of America (VOA) affiliates in Francophone African countries attended a five-day workshop on radio station management, including how to build an audience, how to improve business through advertising.

Station managers from private FM stations in Mali, Niger, Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Gabon, Chad, Benin and Togo attended the workshop. Michelle Betz, a former professor at the University of Central Florida, conducted the workshop.

Gaoussou Drabo, Mali’s minister of communications and new technologies, opened the program.
