Discovering Your Inner Scientist

Today we talk with Dr. Chad Orzel, a scientist, college professor and author of a new book, “Eureka: Discovering Your Inner Scientist”, that he hopes will make us feel less intimidated about science. We’ll hear about India's latest milestone in space technology. We say goodbye to the European Space Agency's Venus Express mission and learn what new and amazing discovery has been made by NASA's Curiosity Mars Rover. US officials now say that North Korea was behind the recent Sony cyber-assault. Those in South Korea know how devastating these attacks can be since they too have been at the center of their Northern neighbor’s cyber-warfare for years. An experiment using computer and other visual manipulations allowed subjects to see themselves as someone from a different racial group in what can be called 'virtual bodyswapping'. A South Africa brewer sent delegates to the recent climate talks in Peru. They say they are just one of many private companies who are taking their own steps to fight climate change. We'll have these stories and more on today's edition of VOA's Science, Health and Technology magazine... Science World.
