Engaging and informative, Nikki Strong loves to have a good time with great music! From Pop, Gospel to World music, Nikki's 15+ year radio career involves working in various capacities and formats, interviewing some of the biggest names in music – like Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Timberlake. You may have even seen her on BET chopping it up with Fantasia.

Currently as Talent on VOA1 The Hits, Nikki hosts a daily pop music show, and produces and hosts the in-demand country music show, Country Hits VOA. Previously, Nikki has worked on-air at WHUR-FM in DC, 1090 WILD and Magic 106.7 in Boston. One of the highlights of her career was helping to conceptualize and execute the "Neo-Soul" channel, The Flow, for XM Satellite Radio as Music Director. She also served as Music Director and Talent for the World Music station XM100 WorldZone and then went on to help build an international Hip Hop music format for WorldSpace Satellite Radio. These last two positions, in particular, enabled Nikki to experience first-hand how impactful African-American culture, especially Soul, Hip Hop and Jazz have been on music from all over the world.

Shawna Renee’s career began as a call screener for a local talk show station when she was just 14 years old. After graduating from Howard University with a dual degree in Broadcasting Management and Radio Production she was hired as co-host and producer of the top rated morning show in Baltimore, Maryland. It wasn’t long before Shawna was recruited to create and program the first 24-hour World Music Satellite Radio station for XM Satellite Radio where she also hosted a weekly news and culture talk show for 7 years.

During her career Shawna, who also goes by The Lady DJ, has covered several popular international music events including Broccoli Fest, The Governor’s Ball, WOMAD, and Africa Unite. Her reputation as an enthusiastic and seasoned broadcaster has earned her recognition and awards from the National Association of Black Journalists and The National Association of Broadcasters as well as a distinction among her peers as a knowledgeable and engaging interviewer.

Shawna Renee holds double duty as Music Director and Presenter on VOA1 The Hits where she host a daily radio show as well as the weekly Today’s Hit Countdown and Soul Lounge programs.

Larry London started his broadcasting career while in high school. Larry has been on the air in the US (Detroit, Boston, St. Louis, Tampa, and Los Angeles) and has also lived and worked in Asia (China, Japan, Hong Kong). He joined VOA in 2001 and a year later was the permanent host of “Border Crossings”. Larry’s daily program features requests, dedications, prize giveaways, the latest music news, and special guest interviews. Larry has interviewed over 2000 guests including Oscar winner Tom Hanks, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Adele, One Direction, Taylor Swift, and many of today’s biggest stars.
