Abductions by Boko Haram Continue

Abuja, Nigeria
Abuja, Nigeria

Suspected Boko Haram militants have kidnapped a German development worker in Nigeria and two children of a Muslim cleric in Cameroon.

The abductions earlier this week come three months after the group abducted 200 Nigerian schoolgirls.

Officials say the German worker was taken Wednesday at gunpoint from his car in Gombi. The Nigerian town is in the Adamawa state.

The German embassy says it is aware of the situation, but has a policy of not discussing kidnappings of its citizens still under investigation.

In neighboring Cameroon, Boko Haram is accused of nabbing two teenage children from their home. They lived in Limani near the Nigerian border.

Boko Haram has earned millions of dollars in ransom demands. However, no ransom demands have been made for the three abductions this week.
