Preparations are made for the celebration of Independence and National Day of Bangladesh on the 26th of March.

On the eve of the Independence Day, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh Caretaker Government Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed bestowed "Sawadhinata Purashakar-2008" (Independence Day Award-2008), the highest civil award of the country on one organization and three individuals.
