Bangladesh’s Women Rights Activists Criticize formation of Committee with Religious Leaders

The women rights activists have criticized the formation of a committee by the government comprised of the religious leaders to review the just announced national woman development policy which aimed at equal share of father's property and empowerment.

The women leaders mentioned that the national women’s development program is not anti –Islamic. They also said that if the Islamic leaders were invited to review the program, women organizations should have their representatives too.
