Besides Rohinga refugees, there are about 5000 Burmese citizens who left Burma because of military junta’s rule and are now living in Bangladesh.

They are worried about their relatives in Burma, where Cyclone Nargis killed more than 22,000 people.  Amir Khasru spoke to the former President of Burmese Women’s League who said that she was unable to establish contact with her relatives and friends in Burma.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has sent relief supplies to Burma for the cyclone victims.
