Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha to Ease Strike Restrictions

The continuous strike in all government offices in Darjeeling is going to be eased to some extent from Monday. 

However, the separatist Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha will now allow offices that generate revenue for the government, such as offices of income tax, sales tax, telephone and power supply to open. Meanwhile, the Bengal Home secretary met Home ministry officials in Delhi on Thursday to report on the Darjeeling situation.
