Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam

In our call-in show, on the occasion of the death anniversary of Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam our guests were Dr Ghulam Murshid , a former Professor at Rajshahi University, Bangladesh and now a research scholar in London, Dr Clinton Seely, former Professor at Chicago University and Badhan Sen Gupta , a research scholar from Kolkata.

The guests, while answering the questions, talked at length about the philosophy behind Nazrul’s writings. They emphasized on the humanitarian aspects in Nazrul’s writing and criticized those people who want to use Nazrul for communal conflicts, confining him to the national boundaries of any country.
