Visiting Burmese Official General Maung Aye Leaves Bangladesh

Vice-Chairman of Myanmar's State Peace and Development Council General Maung Aye left Bangladesh after a three-day visit.

Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed and officials saw him off at Chittagong Airport.

Bangladesh Foreign Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury said that Maung Aye's visit has opened up a new chapter in bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Myanmar. The adviser also said that improving relationship with neighbors is a key cornerstone of Bangladesh's foreign policy.
