BNP has requested the Bangladesh Election Commission to extend the date for party registration. BNP  will hold its dialogue with the government on 15^th October. 

BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain told newsmen that the deadline should be shifted. They contend that it will not hamper the election process in any manner.

In an interview with Voice of America's Bangla Service, Election Commissioner Brigadier (Rtd) Shakawat Hossain said that the Commission would consider the change if they receive any official request.
