The military-controlled interim government will hold formal electoral dialog with Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its ally Jamaat-e-Islami separately on Tuesday.

The government has formally invited BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and her party on Friday to the dialog.

Chief Advisor Fakhruddin Ahmed is expected to lead the government side in the talks.

BNP secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hossain said the party decided to sit with the government 'for the sake of a credible election'.
