A Bangladeshi expert on international affairs has said that Hamid Karzai, who was recently elected as Afghan president for the third consecutive term, would have to end his administration's bad governance and corruption, if he wants to remain in power.

Professor Imtiaz Ahmed of International Relations Department of  Dhaka University gave this opinion in an exclusive interview with VOA on Friday, saying unless his administration fails to remove the frustrations of  Afghanistan's Western allies on these issues, the government might lose their support. He said that in that case it will be difficult for President Karzai to remain in power.
