The army is conducting its own probe into whether any of its members was involved in the recent bomb attack upon Awami League MP Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.

Any army officials proved to be involved shall face strict legal measures, a statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations Directorate said Tuesday.

The statement followed reports in the media on Monday and Tuesday suggesting some army officers had links to the Oct 21 bomb attack on Taposh's car outside his Motijheel office.

"Any indiscipline is strictly dealt with in the army as per the Army Act," the statement said.
