It has been one year since Barack Obama's presidential election victory. The newest U.S. president has faced political and economic challenges at home and has yet to decide how the United States will handle the international war on terror.

One year after his election as U.S. president, Barack Obama faces an increasingly challenging political situation at home, with rising anger on the right and growing nervousness among many of his fellow Democrats in Congress. The latest unemployment figures put the jobless rate at 10.2 percent, the highest level since 1983.
President Obama said the latest figures were regretful, but he promised to continue his efforts to turn the U.S. economy around.

 

In our, this week’s call-in show focus were given on both Obama’s foreign policy and her internal challenges. Our listeners asked questions on concerning Health Care Plan, Climate Change and Economy . They also asked questions on president Obama’s  Asia Trip , US involvements in Afghanistan and Iraq and they wanted to know how different President Obama is going to be from his predecessor as far as these important policies are concerned.

 

Our panelists were Dr Ziauddin Ahmed , a jurist and an expert on International War crime and Convener of Asian Net Work in Brussels and Syed Mohammadullah, a veteran journalist from New York.
