Mr.Tabarak Husain, a former foreign secretary of Bangladesh, talks about some of the most interesting events during his long career as a diplomat. They include the UN membership of Bangladesh in 1974, his days in Washington as the ambassador of Bangladesh during the Carter and Reagan administrations. He also speaks about the success of Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank.

Alif Laila, an accomplished Sitar player, currently based in the US, talks about her musical career in an exclusive interview with VoA Bangla. Sitar has become an effective medium for her spiritual and artistic expression, she says. Born and brought up in Bangladesh, Alif Laila holds on to her cultural root despite living in the US for many years now. She performs in various continents and has published several cds so far.
