Hello Washington is one of  VOA Bangla's  most popular programs as it enables listeners across the world to participate by asking questions on specific, relevant topics. We get calls not only from our target areas,Bangladesh and India but also from Malaysia to Montreal and we get  questions from Australia , Middle East and Europe as well.

Hello Washington was launched in mid-2003 and was transitioned to a weekly program in  2004. In this show our distinguished invited guests answer questions on issues ranging from politics to poetry, economics to entertainment reflecting various shades of opinions that define and describe the theme of the discussions. We discuss topics of both international and regional interest, U.S. elections and democracy in Iraq; from Sharia to Sports.

Our distinguished guests include politicians, prominent journalists. Former guests include Professor Mohammad Yunus of Grameen Bank , Dr Kamal Hossain , a distinguished jurist and a former Foreign Minister of Bangladesh; Barrister Moudud Ahmed, the Law Minister of Bangladesh; ; Professor Anisuzzaman, distinguished scholar, former diplomat Faruk Chowdhury.
