Fifteen Bangladeshi peacekeepers were among those killed in Thursday's crash of a Lebanese airliner in the west African nation of Benin. Thirteen of the dead were based in Sierra Leone and two others in Liberia. The Bangladeshi peacekeepers, mostly officers, were on their way home for the Christmas holidays when the plane clipped a building during take-off and crashed, killing at least 113 people. The peacekeepers had boarded the plane during a stop-over in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
