Nahas Pasha is the Chief Editor of a Bengali weekly, Shaptahik Jonomot.

In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Nahas says that Sheikh Hasina is the leader of a major political party and a former Prime Minister of Bangladesh . She has a right to return to her own country.

Nahas Pasha also says that efforts to send Khaleda Zia, another former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, to an exile and barring Hasina from returning to the country are equally unjust measures. If they have done any crime , they should be judged according to the law of the land. He says that Bangladeshis in Britain think in the same way. Nahas added that new leaders in political parties cannot simply be born all on a sudden, they have to go through the process.

 Nahas also described Sheikh Hasina’s activities in London and said that although no official commitments have been made, and some leaders whom Hasina met have expressed their concern over this restriction.
