Humayun Kabir , the Ambassador of Bangladesh in the United States said that both at the government level in USA and at the private level , the devastating storm in Bangladesh has brought in a very sympathetic impact .

In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service , Ambassador Kabir said that both the government and people in USA sincerely want to assist in the relief operation. He considers that this is a very friendly and humane gesture for the people of Bangladesh. He also acknowledged the positive response that he has received from the members of Bangladesh community in the USA.

Ambassador Kabir also mentions the US trips of Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh government , Moeen U Ahmed, the Chief of Bangladesh Army and the President of Bangladesh Professor Iajuddin Ahmed. He says that these trips have reaffirmed the pledge of the government to restore democracy in Bangladesh after proper reforms.
