Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson in an interview with Voice of America’s Bangla Service spoke about the beauty contest and the scholarship program that comes as a part of it.

Ms. Nelson said she is trying to raise awareness about internet safety for children. Her status as Miss America has given her a good platform for that.
