BNP secretary general Khandker Delwar Hossain has Warned of Legal Action

secretary general Khandker Delwar Hossain has warned of legal action if the
parliamentary enquiry committee's suggestions are implemented. He said
that this committee has recommended cancellation of former Speaker
Sircar’s Parliament membership and legal action against them
without any legal basis. BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain today said that the
parliamentary probe committee report as politically motivated to harass the opposition .
“We’ll decide the next course of action after reviewing the report,” he
said while giving his preliminary reaction to reporters, at his residence in
the city, over the probe committee report and recommendations.
Delwar labelled the so-called all-party parliamentary inquiry committee as
illegal .
Replying to a question, he said if parliament takes any decision on the
basis of the probe committee report and recommendations he will face it
legally.
On Thursday, the all-party probe committee submitted its report and
recommended for taking legal action against former speaker Jamiruddin Sircar,
the then deputy speaker Akhtar Hamid Siddiqui and the then chief whip Khandaker
Delwar Hossain for corruption during the last BNP-Jamaat government.
