Several
hours after granting a five-day remand for detained former state minister for
home affairs Lutfozzaman Babar in the August 21 grenade attack case, a Dhaka
court on Wednesday stayed its order till November 1 and instructed to question
him at the jail gate.
First
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ehsanul Haque at around 1:00am in the
day passed the remand order following a 10-day remand prayer filed by the
investigation officer (IO) of the case.
The
same court at around 6:00pm stayed the order after Babar's lawyer submitted a
petition stating that the High Court directed the authorities concerned to
interrogate Babar at jail gate in this case if necessary.
