Monaco: Prince Rainier's Condition Stabilized, but 'Worrisome'

TEXT SIZE - +

Palace officials in Monaco say that Prince Rainier's medical condition has stabilized, but remains "worrisome."

The latest medical update described the 81-year-old monarch as conscious but fighting for his life. The bulletin said the prince's vital organs had stabilized after days of decline, but he remains on a respirator.

The prince, one of Europe's longest reigning monarchs, was hospitalized earlier this month with breathing problems.
