Language Immersion Programs Help American Students Learn

The United States is a nation of immigrants with cultural connections around the world. Such diversity helps to spark interest in foreign language immersion instruction in public schools.  Kent Garden Elementary School in McLean, Virginia, outside Washington, is one of them. It offers specialized instruction meant to prepare students for a bilingual future by teaching half the coursework in a language other than English.  VOA's Mohamed Elshinnawi explains how.
