Richie Havens' Woodstock Interview

This weekend marks 40 years since the Woodstock music and arts festival was held in upstate New York.

It was August 15, 1969 when Richie Havens played the first notes of what would become a three-day celebration.

Havens sat down with VOA's Adams Phillips to talk about this milestone in American cultural history and played some of his songs.
