The editor of a Sudanese newspaper says government authorities have stopped the publication of Saturday's edition of the Khartoum Monitor.
Editor William Ezekiel says authorities first demanded that he remove an article and an editorial on deadly clashes this week between police and refugees.
Mr. Ezekiel says his printing house later received government orders to stop production of Saturday's paper.
At least 14 police officers and three citizens died Wednesday, during a confrontation at the Soba Aradi camp near Khartoum. The Sudanese government was trying to relocate refugees, most of whom are from southern Sudan.
The Monitor is known for its coverage of southern Sudanese issues. It has been closed down several times in the past.
