Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez has left the hospital five days after having surgery to remove a blood clot on her brain caused by a fall two months ago.
Her spokesman said Fernandez is recovering well and is "in excellent spirits.''
The doctors have ordered the 60-year-old president to rest for 30 days, which means she will be unable to campaign for the legislative elections on October 27.
Polls indicate that her party could suffer losses as a result.
President Fernandez was first elected in 2007 and was returned to power in 2011.
Her health has been followed closely since the sudden death of her husband, former President Nestor Kirchner, from a heart attack in 2010.
