At Least 7 Killed in Iraq Suicide Attack

VOA News
A suicide car bomber in northern Iraq has killed at least seven people.

The bomber drove his explosives-laden vehicle into a security checkpoint northwest of the city of Kirkuk.

Officials say at least 11 people were wounded in the attack Sunday.

No one has claimed responsibility.

Iraq has been experiencing its worst violence in recent years, driven by widespread discontent among its Sunni Arab minority and the civil war in neighboring Syria.
