Bomb Sent to Arizona Sheriff'

Arizona authorities are investigating an intercepted package carrying an explosive device that was addressed to the self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff in America," Arizona's Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Police intercepted the explosives late Thursday in Flagstaff, Arizona. A bomb squad later defused the device.

Sheriff Arpaio is known for his strict treatment of prisoners and for his sweeps that crack down on illegal immigrants in the area.

The bomb scare comes just a week after a West Virginia sheriff who was cracking down on the local drug trade was fatally shot.
